ENDA ET401-230 is a compact 48x48 mm digital PID Hot Runner temperature controller developed for heated molds, hot runner nozzles, cartridge heaters and temperature zones in plastic injection molding systems.
It supports selectable J, K and L thermocouple inputs:
Specified accuracy is approximately +/-0.5% of full scale +/-1 digit.
Selectable control algorithms include:
The automatic Self-Tune function calculates PID parameters for the thermal process, while Soft-Start provides progressive heating during startup.
The ET401 provides a 12V DC, maximum 20mA SSR logic output designed to control an external solid-state relay. The SSR output does not directly supply the heating element.
Two temperature set points, programmable digital input, input offset correction and selectable SSR behavior in the event of probe failure provide additional flexibility for Hot Runner applications. ENDA also identifies the ET401 as supporting a Sleep Mode.
Typical applications include Hot Runner systems, injection molds, heated nozzles, manifolds, cartridge heaters, injection molding machines, extrusion systems and other industrial applications requiring precise thermocouple-based PID temperature control.
