Professional nozzles for hot air plastic welding

The correct hot air nozzle improves temperature control, working speed and weld seam quality. This category includes professional BAK, BAK-AG and Herz GmbH nozzles for welding PVC and TPO membranes, technical films, tarpaulins, plastic sheets and other thermoplastic materials.

The range includes wide slot nozzles for overlap welding, angled nozzles for corners and restricted spaces, tubular nozzles for concentrated airflow, tacking nozzles and speed welding nozzles for round or profile welding rods. Each model has an individual product code and should be selected according to the hot air tool, connection diameter, welding width and filler rod shape.

Wide slot nozzles for PVC, TPO membranes and tarpaulins

For membrane and flexible material welding, choose the BAK 20 mm wide slot nozzle, code 5107123 for edges, repairs and narrow overlap seams, or the BAK 40 mm wide slot nozzle, code 5107132 for heating a wider working area.

For more balanced hot air distribution, the 40 mm perforated nozzle, code 5107133 is available. Special applications can be completed with the 30x2 mm nozzle with a 15-degree angle or the 20 mm wide slot nozzle with an angled base.

Angled nozzles for corners and restricted areas

When the hot air tool cannot be positioned directly, an angled nozzle helps guide the airflow into corners, beneath edges and beside vertical surfaces. Available options include the Herz 20 mm nozzle with a 60-degree angle and the BAK-AG 20 mm nozzle with a 90-degree angle.

For specialised applications and difficult access points, use the BAK nozzle with a 120-degree bend, code 5105492.

Tubular and tacking nozzles for plastic welding

The BAK 5 mm tubular nozzle, code 5100303 concentrates heated air into a small working area. It can be used for precision heating or as a base for compatible tacking and speed welding attachments.

For temporarily fixing plastic sheets and components before the final weld, choose the Herz tacking nozzle, code 5106996. It helps keep thermoplastic components correctly aligned before the complete welding seam is applied.

Speed welding nozzles for plastic welding rods

Speed welding nozzles guide the filler rod while directing hot air toward both the rod and the base material. For round welding rods, available models include:

For profile welding rods, choose the Herz 5.7 mm profile speed welding nozzle or the BAK 7 mm profile speed welding nozzle.

How to choose the correct plastic welding nozzle

Check the connection diameter of the hot air tool, the outlet shape, the required welding width and the size of the welding rod. Wide slot nozzles are commonly used for membranes and tarpaulins, angled nozzles provide access to corners, while speed welding nozzles guide the filler rod during thermoplastic fabrication.

Always install the nozzle while the tool is switched off and cold. Metal nozzles can reach extremely high temperatures during operation. Wear heat-resistant gloves and allow the nozzle to cool completely before removal, cleaning or storage.
